Naming School Uniform
Please please please NAME your child's clothing. Wehave had numerous occasions recently where children have mislaid/lost sweatshirts but unfortunately they have not been named. It is vital that ALL school clothing is named.
Child Protection
This title has now been changed to "Safeguarding Children". I wanted you to know that the school has all policies and procedures in place in case an issue of this nature should arise. Both Mrs Bailey and myself are fully trained in safeguarding children and the whole staff receives training every three years. The Governors also have to be fully aware of our policies and procedures and monitor this regularly. A copy of our current policy can be found in the lobby area.
Photographs
Individual children's photographs will be taken on Tuesday 10 November. If you have any pre-school children and would like them to be photographed with another sibling, please could you be at School for 8.45a.m. and initially wait in the lobby area. All other brothers / sisters will be photographed together during school time.
Open Door
Recently, Woodpeckers Class had the most wonderful experience by participating in a day long workshop at St Luke's Church. The adults involved had worked so hard to provide interesting and challenging activities for our youngsters and we are grateful for their support.
Mufti Day
A reminder that Friday 23-10-2009 (the day we break up for Half Term) is Mufti Day. Children are asked to bring in specific donations (that Friends of the School will tell you about) for the Christmas Fayre. In return, the children are allowed to wear mufti for the day.
Also on the 23rd, Friends of the School will be holding a Coffee Morning at 9.00a.m. in the Staff Room. All parents, new and "existing" can attend to meet some of the Friends and perhaps become involved in activities.
