FOOD ALLERGIES
We have children in School with an acute allergy to nuts. Staff have ben trained in the use of an epi-pen in case of emergencies. May we ask for your support by NOT SENDING YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL WITH ANY FOOD CONTAINING NUTS (EG PEANUT BUTTER IN THEIR SANDWICHES). If by doing this, we are helping to advert an emergency, I am sure you will not mind and help in this way.
Bookbags
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE check your child's bookbag. We are finding very important letters and information in bookbags which have passed cut off dates.
Attendance
We are delighted to treat 10 of our children to "lunch at St. Crispin's Retirement Village" for their 100% attendance over the last acedemc year.
We will continue to have Attendance Awards every term.![]()
Harvest Festival
This will be held on Friday 2 October in the School Hall. Please could children bring in any unperishable goods (tins and packets of food). These contributions will be donated to the Soup Kitchen/Hope Centre.
This year we have arranged for one of their Represenatives to attend our assembly. we do not usually open this assembly to parents, but we will be inviting our new Reception parents as they will not have an opportunity to see a Class Assembly until sometime next year. In addition, or Friends of the School will be attending.
Getting to School on Time
Thankyou for helping with punctuality. The instances of late arrivals have dropped significantly. However....we now have the reverse problem....and some children are ariving at 8.30am, which is far too early. We man the playground from 8.50am and are concerned for the safety of those children who get here before that time. For any parents who need childcare from 8.00am. please see Eldica regarding the Breakfast Club.
School Council
As in the past, two Representatives were chosen from each year group to sit on the School Council. we held our first meeting recently and the children's ideas and awareness astounded me yet again!! The new Chair will address the full School periodically in Assembly.
