We pride ourselves in being a friendly "family school" where our children receive a high quality education in a calm and positive atmoshere. Our children and staff all make great contributions to school life and everyone is valued and celebrated for their individual talents.

We maintain strong links with St Luke's Parish Church with whom we have an active relationship, enriching the childrens school experience. Our students visit Church frequently, not only to worship but to participate in other activities and we enjoy Reverend Alan's visit to take our assemblies.
Friends of the School is our very active Parent Teacher Association who organise a wide range of extra activities for fun and fund raising to buy the extra equipment for the children. Their hard working efforts benefit our school community immensely. Recently their efforts also helped us to purchase more computer equipment for the school

Our school has been in existence since 1856 and was referred to as "the school on the corner". In 1873 the school had 70 pupils and only 3 teachers, including the head Master, Mr Edward Wood. The school had grown over the years, along with the village of Duston. Further expansion on the site was not possible. Therefore the school has now moved to a new site, close by on the St Crispin development, to meet the growing needs and expectations of the community it serves.

The school now has an ever expanding number of children, currently numbering 180. This number is steadily increasing, whilst we still maintain the "close knit" community feel, and will continue to do so over the coming few years now that we have moved to the new school site.
